    The company was started out my frustration in hiring bad contractors. After much research, I found the concept had been addressed with dozens of sites like AngiesList and ServiceMagic but there was still 80% market share to be had and improvements to be made.

    TrueBlueContractors.com was designed to do a good idea better. It solves the main homeowner and contractor complaints
      about competing sites.

      1. It’s free to the homeowner.
      2. Contractors are REALLY screened annually.
      3. Contractors are not charged PER lead.

      Sales potential per contractor is huge. They can join with a $199 annual fee which includes a background check, web profile, 1 zip code, and 1 trade. This allows them to be seen by their customers AND allows them to start receiving job leads. They can then be up sold:

      • Adding a gallery and special offers section to their web profile.
      • Improve their standing on the web site by ordering an inspection.
      • Buying more zip codes and trades to be matched to.

    My base is in the insurance industry where I have held many different executive positions including sales, operations, claims, marketing, and R&D. My favorite was VP of Research & Development where I started 7 successful insurance trusts (mini mutual companies). This entailed massive feasibility studies, regulator approval, and sales to the core members/board of trustees. I have a small but profitable real estate holding company and am on the board of directors of a local energy company.


      My strengths are efficiencies, feasibility studies, management, motivation, marketing, pubic speaking, and leading. My weakness is sales!
