Simchuk developed a comprehensive reorganization of the mine and the plant, enabling the employees at all levels to complete the project seamlessly. As an empathetic and compassionate businessman, George J. Simchuk also considered the state of the company's relationship with the public. During his time with Glamis Gold, Inc., George J. Simchuk conducted a public outreach program to increase awareness about the mining project, which led to far-reaching public acceptance.

      In addition to his experience with Glamis Gold, Inc., George J. Simchuk has worked with numerous mining companies in South America. George J. Simchuk utilized his bilingual fluency in English and Spanish in the position of Vice President and General Manager of Minera Cerro Quema, based in Panama. George J. Simchuk also acted as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pathfinder Mines Corporation and as General Manager of the Pitch mine with Homestake Mining Company.

      A devoted business leader and activist, George J. Simchuk spent a year in East Africa as a volunteer pilot and emergency medical technician (EMT) with Flying Medical Service. Motivated by a humanitarian passion, George J. Simchuk provided emergency transportation and medical supplies to rural peoples in Tanzania and Kenya. George J. Simchuk also followed his passion to Central America, where he assisted environmental groups with surveillance of illegal deforestation and pollution. While living and working in the United States, George J. Simchuk also volunteered his medical knowledge and skill as a pilot with Angel Flight. George J. Simchuk flew throughout the country providing medical transportation to people with cancer who could not otherwise afford flights to clinics.

      George J. Simchuk possesses a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering with a minor in business administration from Washington State University.
