how to market my expertise to small/startup business
I just started a company which helps small/startup business find reliable solid manufacturers in China. I know there are quite a few e-commerce sites where buyers can find suppliers in China without paying a fee. But most of new buyers don't know if the manufacturers are reliable. With a small fee, I will provide the contact information of the manufacturers I have worked with and trusted. My question is how I market my business to small/startup business and where I can find small/startup business?
Thanks for your time.

Hi Yumei,
I have some ideas that we could bounce back & forth to get you rolling. You can message me directly if you are interested. Take care, -Tim R. Monroe TRM Development "Helping Start-Ups, Build-Up!" www.timrmonroe.wordpress.com
Yumei - whether they are a start-up business or an established concern, even individuals, everyone is looking for "reliable" suppliers to help them accomplish their goals. Indeed there are many sites that say they will match up busineses and suppliers, and where most of them fall down is in the screening process. Trust and honesty doesn't always thrive online, personal referrals and recommendations are much more reliable and dependable. So in essence you are marketing yourself as an expert in Chinese manufacturers. If you aproach your marketing in this manner, start-ups will find you much more approachable. Be an expert in the market, work wihtin the narket, and get to know the players as you have done on the manufacturing side.
As far as finding start-ups, there are over 20 publications, and numerous websites, including this one, that cater to start-up businessess. Craft a marketing plan that includes touching those magazine subscribers or site members, reply to blogs, post articles on how to find a reliable Chinese company, post press releases outlining your successes, showcase a company you connected with a manufacturer and how that relationship helped build the company. In short there is no shortcut to success, but with the right approach and the right tools, you will be able to find many loyal start-ups to assist. Yumei,
A good place to start would be to sign up as a vendor at www.bidmodo.com under Supply Chain and Fullfillment. This site will connect you with small to mid level businesses searching for your type of services online. Good Luck!!!!
