      Business Beginnings

      In his first business, Windhorst Electronics, Lars Windhorst imported cheap computer components from China. When he assembled these parts into computers and resold them around Europe, his profit margins were high, bringing him the reputation in the German media as the most successful young entrepreneur.

      By the year 1996 his company, Windhorst Group, had spread out into an investment conglomerate doing work in electronics, real estate, finance and industry. Lars Windhorst opened additional offices in Europe and expanded into Vietnam and China.

      n 2000 Lars Windhorst was hoping for a listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. To place his companies in a good position he made large investments in the Internet business. Little did he, or anyone else for that matter, know that the high tech market would soon crash. When the stock market crashed and the high tech bubble burst in 2001, Lars Windhorst's investments in the Internet failed, forcing his company into bankruptcy.

      Current Business

      Following a rough period, Lars Windhorst has resumed his place in the international investment community as he founded Sapinda Deutschland GmbH in May 2009. Sapinda Deutschland GmbH, a branch of Sapinda Holding B.V., is an international investment and holding firm.
