  • Company Background

Susan Maxwell Schmidt has been creating her one-of-a-kind upscale hair accessories and offering them from her online boutique for more than ten years. Ms. Schmidt's work has appeared in Demetrios Bridal's "For the Bride" magazine and "Upscale Magazine." The LongLocks HairSticks Boutique, a comprehensive site for everything hair care, was selected as Lucky Magazine's top pick for "Best Hair
Web Site" in their May 2009 issue.

Every one of the almost 10,000 one-of-a-kind hair jewelry designs Ms. Schmidt has hand crafted is recorded in the LongLocks archive. Her work is collected all over the world and the LongLocks HairSticks Collectors Club includes members from Bulgaria, Finland, Greece and Kazakhstan among dozens of other countries.

A former professional writer and editor, Susan Maxwell Schmidt has recently begun a blog tied to the LongLocks HairSticks Boutique. "Style & Angst" (http://www.longlocks.com/style-angst/) shares Ms. Schmidt's offbeat and often humorous commentary on hair, fashion and style trends, as well as the occasional editorial offering on current memes.

From Susan Maxwell Schmidt's bio, "How She Rolls" on Style & Angst:

"Though a native New Yorker, Ms. Schmidt currently resides in the fashion non capitol of the world--East Nottingham, PA--where the Amish are the fashion trendsetters and John Deere green appears in the color forecast every season."

"Ms. Schmidt enjoys driving fast, annoying her husband, sleeping late and disturbing the neighbors. She also fancies herself a fashionista, though this is likely nothing more than a rather sad delusion on her part. It's best just to play along."
