Rags N Riches Magazine is very unique. This small business, the brainchild of Diaz Allen and Raphael Baker began as just an idea. There were plenty businesses that had magazines that glorified celebrities and the rich and famous, but there was nothing for up-and-coming professionals. The two business owners felt it was their duty to provide something to people in
their age group that provides guidance, entertainment and inspiration to survive in this tough economy. Rags N Riches Magazine was created as an empowerment tool. It is published quarterly, and provides entertainment and advice on a variety of subjects that will enhance the lives of the viewers. Each issue contains detailed articles on subjects that have included investing, interview etiquette, dressing for success and many more. The magazine challenges viewers to be responsible members of society and to live the best lives possible. During this recession, many famous print magazines have gone out of business. What makes Rags N Riches Magazine so innovative is the fact that instead of just publishing its magazine in print, it also offers it online. Because of this, a broader global audience can be reached. Each customer, or viewer, is made to feel like he/she is a part of the company. There is constant interaction with the customer base, via Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and the magazine itself. Viewers are encouraged to give their feedback, share their stories and suggest content. The company operates because of customers, and not in spite of them. The customers are the inspiration and the fuel that drives Rags N Riches Magazine to continue to operate and grow.
